 about

I find myself interested in dissonance, the collision of disharmonious sections, brings a dramatic dynamic on my work and curiosity. Working with acrylic on wood and  raw canvas or found materials, I employ the language of collage – a sensibility of combining scraps or bits and pieces that are tenuously held together. I find myself working on flat objects, while overemphasizing layers of skins through the use of paint, This also allows for alluded abstract forms to be pushed and pulled through restriction of space. I find that my work has architectural elements. It has rigid solid forms, which I allow through the solidarity of my structures, and the forms that play with in them.
